I love my husband
for many reasons, but today it's because last night he helped me bang out a new wool eura dress for this weekend.
I am totally pattern challenged when it comes to sewing. I need very explicit step by step instructions on what to cut, where to cut, how to put it together, where to sew it, etc. All I had to go on was a picture of the layout and the finished garment, because the site I used to use with the instructions is gone now :(
Here comes hubby to save the day. "All we have to do is measure here, here, and here. ok now we draw these lines. ok now we cut. ok now you sew here, here, and here. ok now you have dress, see?"
It was awesome. I feel excited that I finished a project in a few hours. And I want to make more so my comfort with the pattern and confidence can grow.
Tonight we tackle the apron dress!
