I recognize this side of the sun
Its been one year since I met sara on a blind date on a cold december night. I wore all black, for i was told I look good in black. She pulled up in a white mini van, parents behind her. I shook her hand, she gave me a hug.
I saw her
Now its a year later and I'm wearing a white polo shirt and the same jeans I've worn for 2 weeks. Minus the black, plus the love.
My childhood is kinda a blur, filled with memories but not sure of what year they actually happened (I always say i was five). But I can hold these memories for a lifetime and remember that it happened in the span of a year, when I was seventeen.
