I hit my breaking point

With my weight. I am the heaviest I've ever been. I don't have the time or willpower to eat how I know I should. I hate grocery shopping. This past holiday season and then driving to and from Oklahoma City for Christopher's father's funeral has done a number on my system. On top of this, I've finally concluded I'm completely addicted to sugar.

So, Christopher and I decided to try Nutrisystem.

After research and evaluating our lifestyles, we selected Nutrisystem because it is, ultimately, the most convenient diet program and fits well within our lifestyles. The idea: they deliver 28 days of food to our doorstep. The food is based on the glycemic index, lower sugar and sugar-spiking foods, which I was already looking into to combat the sugar addiction. They also use portion control and more frequent eating to stabilize your metabolism (this has worked on me in the past).

The plan Christopher and I have is to utilize this convenience until our weight is more stabilized and we have the time to focus on cooking again.

We will be slowly adding exercise, starting small and working our way up in the coming weeks/months. At our disposal we have: a treadmill, a recumbent stationary bike, some hand weights and quite a few exercise DVDs. We'll be creating some sort of exercise routine.

I'm happy to be starting something. I've hit my wall and I'm depressed at how much weight I've gained. This plan feels good to me. I'll check in once things get kicked off.
