OK MEXICO. This is quite overdue..

Ok next three are from this HUGE market we went to near the start of this trip. The entire place REEKED but had the best knockoffs. Everyone managed to get lost and you could never find the same shop again because it all looked the same.
We walked around the city a while as well..
Our first gig was at this science center called Trompo Magico
And we got some free time so we played
We were "Artistas"
And cut to lunch
Cigars were smoked
And we couldn't find an ashtray one night...so Jeff stole the lid off a nearby garbage can.
And we hit the road and headed to the beach
So bear with me and the scenery pictures.
This is the view from the top of the stairs at the resort we stayed at. Nice view, BUT A LOT OF STAIRS. The rooves are all the little villa things we stayed in and you can justttt see the pool.

And this is where all my pride was taken away. Lets just say it involved a dance competition and Doug Thompson.
So the last day, I went against my will and got convinced to get my hair braided, mainly because I couldn't handle the humidity making it curly. Do I look impressed?
But things got better when we took some of these:

And so we reach the end of Mexico. This we part of one of the nightly shows that the entertainment staff put on. One night in which contests were involved. Picture me and Mary running up on stage only to find that its a SINGING contest and that we have to stand between overweight drunken American men who were hanging all over us while we made our attempts at singing with nursery rhymes, the Backstreet Boys and God Save the Queen to the tune of O Canada.
Too bad we didn't win. They were giving out Tequila as prizes.
