"In the space between desire and despair, between holding and letting go...

...between clinging and release, and between my desire for you and my desire for your happiness, which things cannot exist together, and which could not exist separately... Can you see this?"

Yesterday was wonderful. Friends and I went to the Monster Sexxx lecture, which was sweet, and my question was featured. Valentines were exchanged... my Thursday essay was extended to next Tuesday. Delicious dinner was had, it included spicy tuna sushi. Finished a book.

It has been good, but I find myself in a strange and quiet mood today. I also have that disassociation thing going on, but I can sit around and think, and also, and unrelated, will attend that "Is Intelligent Design Collapsing?" lecture this evening. Now more quotes.

"In order to live, Cleo, you must feel desire. It is so simple! If only you could see it. Do not turn backward and cling to us after we are gone, for it is not possible to go backward, and you will only succeed in halting your forward motion. Do you see how simple it is?
And yet it is not simple, for desire is so often fixed upon earthly things, and hope is so often bound together with the unfolding of events over the course of time in this life, and curiosity also must be aroused by earthly things. I say must be, all of this must be, if you are to live; and yet these things are temporary, so you will fix yourself upon something and then its time will come to an end."
