Man, I was looking at photos on facebook of a Vietnam trip that Depauw held my freshmen year and now all of a sudden I'm homesick for a home I've never been to.
Wow, who knew I was capable of saying such profound things. ROFL!
Today Tomas, one of the busboys said my spanish was 80% there! My dreams of being trilingual are in grasping reach!
Today I served a bunch of high school kids and one's name was PRINCESS. Who knew it was Princess's birthday today!
Me: What's your name?
Random girl: Her name is Princess!!
Me: Sorry I can't say that name when I announce it's her birthday, I'll sound stupid.
Other girls: No her name is really Princess!
Me: Ok...
Turns out they weren't lying...One of my coworkers used to play softball with her and said that was definitely her name. Damn, she must definitely be a crack baby because only parents on CRACK would name their child that.
Me: So she must definitely gets ridicule a lot for having a name like that.
Coworker: No she doesn't since she puts out a lot.
Me: Eww...
I went to IHOP on Friday night to pick up my last paycheck...One of the managers there asked why he hadn't seen me in forever and I told them the GM fired me so he was like "WHAT!! You need to get your job back and come back becausewe all miss you!!!" So he made me write a later to the GM apologizing about not talking to him when I called in sick and that I would come in Monday to talk to him about getting my job back.
As much as I love my coworkers there, it's time for change and to move on and so after putting much thought into it I'm not going to talk to my GM tomorrow in trying to get my job back. I think it's safe to say I'm finally done with IHOP.
