music as of late.
The weird thing about new jersey is that I don't know many people who listen to the same music as I do. Well, with the exception of punk rock, which I listen to when I go out. I don't really know that many people who listen to electronic music. This means that when I write stuff, it's always kind of different, usually one song to the next as well. I wrote a song a few days ago for my friend to sing on. Rachel listened to it and told me that it sounded like the mission.
After I listened to it, it kind of did. Granted, I haven't listened to the mission since I was a sophomore in college. Weird.
As far as the music that I've been listening to, it's been a cross between new shoegaze stuff and hare krsna chants. In fact, there's one on right now called "Kirtan Explosion - High Energy Kirtans."
For the style, it kind of is. Granted, there's a part of me that wants it to have a two bar break and then start sounding like orbital.
At some point, I'd like to go to the Hare Krsna temple in Jersey. Supposedly, it's cool as hell.
