Two weeks ago I visited an elderly lady who is a member of my church. She is "homebound" and does not get out much. The visit was prompted by an effort at church to visit people who are unable to make it to services. She and I talked over two hours that afternoon, because I am perfectly suited for such visits. I like talking, and I love hearing other people's stories.
Today, spur of the moment, I took my little boy with me back to visit her. It was awesome. He was as gook as gold, and it helped she's a pretty hip great-grandma, who realizes pleasant visits from small children are easy to arrange via cartoon tv and chocolate candy. She was so pleased I had come back, and brought my little fellow. And I enjoyed seeing her.
Excellent way to spend a Saturday morning, and good training for Babyboy in social call manners.
