(no subject)
i want to write. but i don't know what i want to write about. it's 8:18p.m. on a monday. i need to go running but i'm still not feeling it. i ate dinner a little less than 2 hours ago, but my stomach still isn't ready. this is probably because i pretty much inhaled my food and have been laying around like a lazy bum. i'll go running by 9...it's fine...or rollerblading...i haven't decided which of the 2 i'm up for yet.
i truly dislike working in an office for the summer, mon-fri 9-5. i loved it last summer a lot more. don't get me wrong, my internship is great and it's a wonderful opportunity and i'm learning lots. but i would so much rather be doing summery things...but oh well. whatever...it only goes until the beginning of august. then i get a week or so off before i go to vegas!
this summer hasn't been horrible. i've been cleaning up the basement, in hopes of doing something along the lines of making it decent down there. we'll see...
i doubt that i would dislike work so much if it wasn't for the horrific drive. long lake (18 mile, in case you're not familiar...) and crooks = not my idea of fun driving there in morning rush hour and home in evening rush hour. everything works out how it should though...and in the end, it's all worth it right?! well i sure hope so...because let me tell you, the other intern on my account is probably the biggest space cadet/nutjob/i don't even know that i have ever met (you know what i mean if you've heard any of my ridiculous stories about him...). there's also another intern who just b.s.'s constantly and i get annoyed so i play his game back and when i deem it necessary i call him out when he is being an idiot. whatever...all in all, the ad agency is great for the most part but i would much rather be having fun in the sun.
brianna and i have been having lots of fun lately... which is nice since i don't see her very much during school. we can always find some silly way to amuse ourselves! and we've been running too...gotta keep in shape i suppose.
i'm pretty excited for my birthday. it's 20 days from today. yay for turning 21! it's on a sunday...who knows what i will do saturday night...i'm not so sure. my thought is maybe just a small get together at my house - nothing big, on saturday night. who knows?! then sunday we are going to Ruth's Chris in Troy for dinner! how excited am i! WOOP WOOP! we always have a 4th of july party here too...so that will be a combo of 4th of July/my family birthday party so i suppose that shall be pretty exciting.
i got to see matthew yesterday:) i love when i get to see him, because it's not a lot that i do. i work 40-50 hours/week, and he works 60 hours/week so free time is limited. when there is free time there's always a million other things going on. but when i do get to spend time with him it's always fun. he just makes me smile. i couldn't ask for a better boyfriend...he is just a great person overall. yay:)
i went to the foot doctor the other week...and it looks like i'll be having surgery. it's not really a bad thing though...i'm semi-excited because my foot won't be deformed and hopefully won't hurt so much anymore. unfortunately it can't be done in the summer now because of the recovery period. by the time i could get it in the summer, i might not be fully recovered before vegas so i have to wait til i'm back from vegas which means school will be starting. so basically there really is no great time to have it done but oh well. it looks like it will probably be sept. 7. i should be able to be in a walking cast though so that's not too bad!
i guess days are going by...
things are decent...
i don't mind not having much to do other than work, eat, sleep, and workout. i hang out with a few people every now and then but i miss the kids in east lansing.
20 days 'til i'm 21.
59 days 'til vegas.
