United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170
to declare International Day of Girl Child- 11 October,
to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world,
problems of girl children are not limited to India, but persist across the globe.
Their health, education, and overall well being is a matter of concern for one and all.
