five small and excellent things
1. Meredith was awesome! There were so many cute, chubby, well-dressed girls and boys there that I wish I'd taken a camera so I could make a fat camp style photo blog. I have lots more to say about it, but it will have to wait for another post.
2. I have a copy of The Fat Studies Reader! I can't wait to get into it!
3. We went to see Where the Wild Things Are on Wednesday, and it was pretty much awesome. Families are hard. The kid who played Max was fantastic. Also, Catherine Keener is my officially secret movie star girlfriend.
4. Today is The Socialist and my five-twelfths anniversary. By coincidence, I gave him this present because it had just arrived from the intarwebs.
5. Batch have updated their breakfast menu again. I had amazing leek, broadbean and goats cheese omelet today. But I'm going back real soon for the seasonal fruit with mango yoghurt and hazelnut meringue.
