Oh, GOD, I've just been out for dinner at this fantastic tapas bar near where I live and it was SUBLIME. And the DESERT! Fried custard flan, served with quinces in red wine. The soft, mild, sweet custard, with a thin crispy skin that tasted almost dounut-y . . . well, churos-y, given the cuisine, sitting on top of quinces and muscatel raisins in this georgeous red wine sauce, with the beautiful vanilla-ish quincey fragrance all through it. Seriously, it nearly made me come.
If I were to die now, I'd die a happy woman.
