When I finally fell asleep last night, a mere 3 hours before I needed to be up for class, I dreamt that I was sick. A head-achy, upset stomach, sneezing, coughing, gross mess of sick. I woke up to find this was true. Not to the extreme I head visualized, but close enough for horseshoes. This was not good. I have a midterm today. So I drugged myself up and tried the school thing. It didn't work out so well. I have been reminded as to why I do NOT take cold medicine. It doesn't help all that much and I become incapable of functioning like a normal person. Actual drugs affect me less. At least they used to. I'm not so sure about that at this point but I don't really feel like redoing the research. On campus, I ran into Dutch (Eng Prof #2, the current one) and he commented on my glazed eyes. I told him about the DayQuil and various other meds in my system that I was trying to treat my symptoms with. "You have what I just got over. That's no fun." I told him I was worried how my fuzzy brain would affect my midterm. "Cold drugs making you less than clear headed? Been there. If you want to reschedule for when you're feeling better we can do that. Go home and sleep." I love Dutch.
So now I'm back in bed about to sleep off my sickness. I'm so ridiculously lucky.
