Silly things have been happening lately. I'm involved in a protracted and nasty Cold War-turned-hot battle with the Georgetown computer people. This past weekend, I went home to see my mom (who didn't tell me she was coming till after I had gotten back to Washington last weekend). I stayed at Jess', and on Saturday decided that I really didn't wanna go back on Sunday, so I skipped all my classes on Monday and Tuesday. I got back all my midterms - I got a B+ in Microeconomic Theory, 22.5/25 (B+? A-?) in Comparative Political Systems, and a 92 (A-?) in East-Central European History. There's no French midterm, and my International Trade midterm isn't for a little while.
In more boring, school-related news, here are the classes I want to take next semester:
- ECON-121: Economic Statistics
- ECON-244: International Finance
- HIST-173: History of East-Central Europe II
- MATH-137: Multivariable Calculus
- GERM-001: Introductory German I
Both econ classes and the history class fulfill requirements, whereas calculus and German are just for fun. I'm not really looking forward to International Finance, since I have a deep loathing of all things Keynesian and central bank-ish, but Econ Stats sounds kind of fun. History, too (basically history of the Eastern Bloc minus the USSR from the interbellum period till the collapse of communism). I'm excited to take a pure math class - I like the structure of math classes here (i.e., enough homework that I don't have to study outside of it). And finally German, which will be my first nonnative non-Romance language.
