Izzy!: Donna loves Izzy. In ways that married women shouldn't love their best friends, actually, but we don't talk about that because, well, they're both involved with other people. They've been best friends for years, although Donna has always felt slightly left out by how close Izzy and John are, which is quite obviously closer than Donna and Izzy are. She ignores this feeling, mostly, because there's no point in worrying about it. Donna trusts Izzy with her life, and more importantly would trust her with her children's lives.
Jonathan: Jonathan is a mystery to Donna, which is partly why she was so attracted to him initially. He's fascinating and she spends a good deal of time just trying to figure him out. She won't really mind if she can't, but it's a way to pass the time. She doesn't understand why he loves her, and certainly doesn't understand how come their whole marriage didn't just crash and burn (as she expected it to, cynically), but she's deleriously happy with how everything's turned out. She worries about him constantly -- especially lately -- and the whole thing lately (particularly Jonathan expecting her to not tell John either) bothered her a great deal. She adores him, though.
