[She doesn't even wait for the elevator, tearing down the trunk of the Tree fast than the average human eye could follow. Raise didn't have spiky hair, so it probably wasn't him. Which was one load off her mind, but there's still been a death.
Run through, Chapel had said. It was a familiar method of death.
She crosses the last bridge to the Aquarium, slowing down when she sees a dark-haired man standing near a prone body.]
Chapel?
[She goes faintly pale when she recognizes the body.]
[He's on his third cigarette since finding the body by the time Bastet arrives. It's not that death unnerves him--it's something about the unnatural way this guy died that's creeping him out. He wasn't shot, he wasn't stabbed...there's just a big hole.]
[She doesn't immediately answer, her eyes scanning the area. The blood looks tacky, as though not completely dry; he likely hadn't been there long. There's a box, a blood-soaked map and another paper, as well as broken crayons scattered about.
She steps around the body, sinking to a squat near Truth's head. She reaches forward to close his eyes, gently letting her thumb brush the bridge of his nose.]
[Weird name. Not as weird as Geranium, but he guesses it doesn't matter now. There's not much he can do here--he's no detective, and he's not even a very good guard. Not when the guy who needed guarding is already dead.]
[She finally looks up at Chapel, her eyes shuttered; her voice is detached when she speaks.]
Is this how you found him? Nothing's been moved?
[Impalement with no trace was standard for the Tree...but she couldn't assume this early. The blood-soaked map caught her eye once again--had Truth been following its instructions?]
Just like this. The same for Geranium--we were just coming to look at things, dammit.
[It's said without any rancor at Bastet. Chapel's not a sentimental guy, but he can't help but feel that a place like this being sullied with murder is...wrong.]
Phoenix and Stoneface, if you see this, get down there as soon as possible.

Wish I could let you know who the poor sap is, but like I told Dani [arrow points], he's not someone I've met.

I take it he's a friend of yours.

No, no one ever expects to find a dead body.
[Phoenix. Goddammit, what happened?]
Thank you for reporting this, and for staying with him. Don't feel like you have to stay--I expect other guards and medics to arrive shortly.
[Another investigation--not like they'd had much luck with the others.]

[He pauses before leaving.]
So what happens now?
