"Luke asked me if I brought an X-Wing with me," Corran said, changing the subject.

"Did you?" Gavin asked, eyes widening. "Please tell me you did."

[corellian_jedi]

"Sorry," Corran said and shrugged. "Couldn't afford to lose what we have if I got stuck here or something."

[sixstandingby]

"Damn," Gavin said and frowned. "There's so little to fly here. Luke's got a shuttle and we have a sim."

"That's not weird for you?" Corran asked, taking a seat on the bed that wasn't Gavin's.

"What?" Gavin asked, dropping down onto his own bed. "Not flying?"

[corellian_jedi]

"Well, yeah, but I meant more that Luke Skywalker's here," Corran said. "The timeline and all."

[sixstandingby]

"It was," Gavin said and shrugged. "But, it's weird for him too. I'm a kid from his timeline. Imagine seeing me as nine one minute and then seeing me now."

Solemn and straightfaced, Corran said, "There's a difference?"

"Shut up," Gavin said before adding, "Lieutenant."

"So."

Corran eyed him, trying not to snicker before even asking.

"Asking Luke for girl advice?"

[sixstandingby]

Gavin groaned and covered his face in his hand. "I didn't ask him I asked..."

He trailed off, shaking his head. "Never mind."

"No, no, no, no," Corran said, waving a hand. "You can't start a sentence like that and stop it. Luke said you asked someone who might have smited you. Who'd you ask?"

"His father," Gavin mumbled, shaking his head.

Corran started laughing. And didn't stop for several long moments.

"Shut up," Gavin said and covered his face. "Not like you were here to help me out or anything!"
