I love my job
I work at Dunn Lumber, and as you might know, lumber yards are generally filled with many, many units of wood. These units sit on the ground until people tell me to put them in the backs of their trucks (insert penis-in-butt joke here). A simple, and extremely practiced method of travel around the yard is to simply scale the units, which are about two to three feet high, and walk right across them. Well, apparently thats a big no-no with management, so my pit boss Tracy decides to let me know about it. Here's the jist of the conversation
Tracy: What do you think you're doing Dwyer?
Austin: Walking on the wood. I find it easy to get around that way...
Tracy: What would make you think it's okay to walk over the product
we give to customers? What did you do at your last job?
Austin: I was a salesman.
Tracy: And how do you think customers would react if they found out
the products they were purchasing had been trodden on carelessly
by the people who sold them?
Austin: Acutually, sir, I sold stompboxes. guitar pedals. I must say I stepped
all over them on a regular basis.
**All sorts of silence**
Tracy: Just don't walk on the wood anymore, Dwyer.
I hadn't laughed that hard since explanation was spelled with an "A"
