I'm starting to think we need some kind of repatriation program for old-timers coming back. The culture shock seems to send them spinning back out pretty quickly after they reapply.

Yeah, it's not a terrible idea.

For example, in my case -- even more so than all the new FCs and different factions (which the news files are pretty good with) is that there's also a new CSYS. I'm not even sure that the new csys reflects Null's original concept, and in turn, if a concept like Null even would fit into the current IC world. I'd probably need to push him into a faction to find any hooks since I literally know nobody and know nothing about what's going on. So it's hard to know what to do, bot respec and reposition-wise -- it's almost like reapping might be a better route.

Or, you know, grab some FC, I guess?

All good ideas. Null can gather dust for a little longer while you get your bearings, and apping an FC is never a bad idea for getting into/back into the game.

Play Suzaku during the Gundam Fight TP. You won't be disappointed.

And yeah, M3's changed, but it's cool! Here's my doesn't play a lot there short summaries of things:

Star Force: Repliforce in space, space cops
Grave: Ninjas and conspiracies
Ouroboros: Imperial China plus yakuza plus Nazis
Nephilim: More sensible Mavericks
Robot Masters: fuck yeah

So does Star Force/Repliforce tangle with Nephilim or just primarily RM/Ouroboros?

It's pretty much whoever you like. Star Force is explicitly RF updated at long last for the new game paradigm, where they're a peacekeeping force whose baliwick is now the entire solar system (and they're not necessarily a robot-dominated organisation anymore). TASC is more like the Green Berets or SEALs in that they're a special forces group, but the SF have UN-granted jurisdiction to cover just about whatever you want.
