I got my visa today!!! The China visa isn't as interesting looking as the Japan visa, but it does have the great wall on it, so that counts towards it's aesthetic attractiveness. I also stopped by Akihabara and picked up a new memory card for my camera. This one is 4 GBs when my last one was 500 MG. It could only hold 150 pictures, so I am much happier with this new one. and it was only 600 円!!! Which is incredibly inexpensive.
I have been writing a lot in my little diary lately, which is good because otherwise I'd forget what I did each day. I wish I had written more in the beginning of the year, but I'll do it for China for sure. Studying Chinese has also become a priority.
This is a pretty fangirly entry. It basically covers all of the anime crap I bought in the last 6 months. Now, I did ship a bunch of books home already, so pretty much all of the actual books I have are in America, but I have doujin and a few things left here. This will be my Doujin/Hetalia crap journal entry, I'll post another one with other stuff, but there isn't too much of that. (its all packed away in my huge suitcase, and that is a BEAST to re-pack, so I will just wait until I get to China to post all of that) Now, I know this is a lot, but I could really ONLY buy it here in Japan and not have to pay a monster of a shipping fee. Or buy it at a convention where they charge $20 for a book that was $3 in Japan >.>; Yeah, I'll never buy any goods at a convention again. Ever.
Here is all of the crap I bought. Just be warned that I bought this all over the course of several months, and this is the VAST majority of my purchases.
The top two rows are completely Hetalia, and the top row is all America and England.
The second one from the left is pretty infamous between a group of my friends. I will never think of trains the same way again. The last three in the top row are all from the same circle. I will buy anything they come out with. Fantastic stuff. Also in the top row is one where America is playing an RPG and has to "choose" what to do next with England. I laughed so hard through the whole thing, that will be a plane read.
Second row has some America and Japan, then America as Alice in Wonderland (haha), and England as a bunny (I can actually read the whole thing without a dictionary!!). Then we have the other Hetalia stuff without America or England (what?!!? I must be crazy). A "bad touch trio" one by "Osova", who does AMAZING work. I wish I could afford to buy more by them. I would buy them all. Perhaps if I do the JET program, I'll get a chance to have a booth at Comiket....Then I would be able to afford them, haha. Anyhoo, there are three Prussia and Russia ones, and one with all of Northern Europe (Yay for Norway and Finland~ I love you guys!)
The third row of doujin is my "western" collection. Three Harry Potter ones (no pairings, I don't like any in this series, I just bought humor. I tend to like humor more than slash anyway), and one Star Trek. Because I had to when I saw that they had it. You have no idea how excited I was when I found out they would have Supernatural at Comiket! Although 99% was Dean and Sam. Which I deplore. I found ONE that I could handle at comiket, and scrounged around the used shops for the other two I bought. Wowowow, I found Torchwood. I was SO SURPRISED. Delightfully so, though. The last floating doujin in a FFVII one by a circle that I love~ The art is so beautiful! I was so lucky to find it for so cheap because they are incredibly popular.
If you would like to know more about the circles I purchased from, let me know. I will post a list of the titles and circles for all of the doujinshi I bought.
Next is all of my actual merchandise. The Hetalia figures were all SUPER CHEAP because I bought most of them in a larger set for 600円 From left to right I have: Chibi Italy, America, France, Austria, Russia, Switzerland, South Italy(doubles for Will), Chibi England, Chibi Japan, Belarus(doubles), and Prussia(doubles for Leslie). The last two on the right are the "one coin" figures that I bought separately. I was lucky enough to get the two CUTEST characters of all, Canada and Finland~ I love them so much, and am staring at them right now. I will be taking them on the plane with me, no checked baggage for these guys. I NEVER FOUND AN ENGLAND ONE COIN FIGURE. *depressed* not that I am depressed about what I did buy, I am completely happy with all of my purchases and would be fine if I never found England. But I do kind of wish I found England Xd I'm super happy I at least got the Chibi England! That is good enough for me :D
Finally we have the actual Hetalia bound volumes. You have NO IDEA how HAPPY I am that I was in Japan at the right time to get not only these books, but the special editions of the second and third *cries happy tears*. When the fourth comes out, you know I WILL be ordering the special edition. I will make a fund just for that.
Okay, I spent too much money in Japan. My friends here kept wondering why I would always buy gifts for friends and family when I was out..... it was to cover up my guilt for how much I bought for myself ;A; I'm so SELFISH!!!! I will have to work for a really long time to make up for how much I got here. Take commissions.....actually finish drawing all of the pages for the comic Jo and I are doing and sell it......Get a better job up at school..... I don't know. I will work super hard to make up for all of my greed here. And even after I bought all of this, I still want to cosplay. What a money sucker I am, its just terrible. I want to work so badly!!! I hope that I can teach English or something in China >.>; not that getting a working Visa is easy over there.
Well, I'm leaving Japan on Thursday. Tomorrow I am heading over to Kanda University of International Studies (神田外語大学)for the last time with Naoko to study Chinese a bit. Wah, its the last time I will be there!!! What a sad thought! Wednesday will probably be a day to bum around a bit and pack completely before I leave, then I head over to the airport around 12:30 or 1 for my 3:45 flight. I have a 14 hour layover in Guangzhuo Baiyun airport. To save money, I decided not to get a hotel. Its cool, I have LOADS of things to keep me company, haha. I also arranged for a pick up from the airport in Chongqing, so I don't have to worry about finding my way to the university. Yay for getting things squared away~ Although my Chinese is just terrible, I'm super scared that I will just embarrass myself completely.
I'm going to end my call here because my mom called me on Skype and I want to share all this wonderful joyful stuff with her. <3 Hope you enjoyed reading that!
