Woohoo, been having me some fun in my little scrap of the world. Nothing new on the job front, though the place I used to work at, Chapters Bookstore, is opening a branch in my neighbourhood and holding the job fair next month. Does that make me a lock? Heh, what a beautiful, naive world that would be. I think I might still give it a shot, now that I am a fraction smarter about the job now then i was when I quit. Pray for me... pray for mojo.

I now have a part in a play that is taking part in my city. It is a one act thing, part of a series of eight short acts, and it's pretty exciting. I just had my first rehearsal, and my role is actually one of the leads. Top o' de world, ma! Whats cool is that its not just some joe schmo thingy, its an actual city event, with tickets and everything. I even get paid! I'm thinking of doing a whole DeNiro and getting rid of the various pudge that's collected around my bones.

I also recieved a banjo for my birthday (July 14), and if that doesnt sound cool, you just havent played a banjo before. At the moment i have the major and some of the minor chords down, but going between them is rough. Im also trying to learn finger picking with some drills I found on the net. Gothic bluegrass band, here i come!

The book is coming along swimingly, though I dare not say how many pages I have under my belt, as the number is barely more than what I had a month ago. I'm definately not going to be finished for that contest i wanted to enter, but thats a good thing, as if I were still gunning for it the thing wouldnt be polished at all. Now, i have time to put in all the things i want to, possibly even pad it out to 300+ pages (my earlier goal was 175.)

And to ensconce myself as a geek in all your hearts, I just finished the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer the other day. I think it took me a year and a half to finish 7 years worth of DVD's, alongside it's brother show Angel. It was quite sad for me, as it always is finishing up a long running series, and a quality one at that. I'm looking forward to watching them all in order again soon.

And that, as they say, is that... for now.

Be seeing you...
