The Uber-Road trip
Ok, time for me to go cross country for the Navy. In other words- ROAD TRIP!!!!! Since some of my friends actually live on or near my route, I figured I would post the plan, such that it is, in hopes of maybe seeing people, or at least good recommendations for stops/short side trips:
Depart SD stupid early 28 September.
Spend night 1 in Vegas, See the late show of KA.
Arrive in Newport, RI no later than Sun, OCT 8th.
Those are the only two hard dates. The plan is, from Vegas, to go North a bit then East. Looks like I will mostly be along the 70 and 80 line, passing though such wonderful places as Denver, Chicago, Cleveland and NYC. (some of those I have never been to, so I just assume they will be wonderful, but I have been wrong before.....)
Anyway, if you are on that route, free somewhere in that time frame, or are familiar with any of those areas, drop me a line.
For those in the SD area, standby- once the new house is ready there will be a combination housewarming/bar opening/going away party date posted.
