EARTH DAY
Let's talk about earth day. Or more importantly Anti Earth Day. There is a private school that spent all this time decorating brown bags from our store for Earth day. The store did not ask them to this. The school initiated this project. They all say things like " RECYCLE" "BE KIND TO THE EARTH" all laced with misspellings and odd drawings. My personal Favorite? It says "Do not treat the earth like Saddam." Then shows a drawing of the planet with the caption "Good Earth" and a stick person with a dialogue bubble "haha" and a caption "Bad Saddam". That was sheer awesomeness. I mean I almost want to adopt this kid. Almost.
Anyways, holes were punched in these bags and they were strung up and hung in our store.
...For Earth Day...
How come I'm the only one that found this to be the most inane school project ever?
PARENTS OF THESE KIDS PAY FOR THIS KIND OF EDUCATION.
There are about 150 brown paper bags that are not being used. Just being hung up for decoration.

The new pope is 76 years old or so. I don't know the exact figure. We are going to go through this process all over again in a few years. Seems fruitless.
