What do I do : I am an Operations manager in one of the divisions in Accenture
Do I sing Professionally : Heck NO...All of us are in the same team , share passion for music and have a band of our own..although..ppl say we are damn neat ;) ..We will of course give a run for money to any corporate bands around!!

our original name was "Dirty Rocking Scoundrels" which was a rip off from a 70's classic movie Dirty Rotten Scoundrels..(steve martin and Michael Caine)...a week before the show our VP called us and said, dude...Dirty Rocking Scoudrels is not "brand compliant"...what the heck..in protest we said ok, we are "Scrubbed Clean Angels"...the VP called said : Dude..are you trying to be cheeky with us... I said no sir and we promptly changed our name to "Deeper Purpler" and we still havent figured out why..

We had a self composed song to start with called "Srishti" but all of us are passionate about classic rock and we always end with Comfortably Numb which gets all of us in a trance (without drugs of course;)...
These are the songs which we sang in our last show
Srishti
Man who sold the world
Come as you are
Cocaine
Nothing else matters
Sunshine of your love
Eye of the Tiger
Comfortably Numb

I'm listening to trip-hop these days!Just got introduced to that kind of music. Till then, I was listening to a particular set of singers like:
Nick Drake, Dido, Jewel, Diana KRall (never liked Jazz till Diana Krall), lots of country....etc

Sure I'd like to listen to Srishti!

interesting choicce of music..am familiar with Nick Drake and Dido, although must admit they are not one of the tapes i listen to when i am driving..I do not know what trip hop is...

Srishti : Let me try and refresh yr memory..there used to be a serial by Shyam Benegal, Discovery of India / Bharat Ek Khoj..they were hymns from the Rig Veda which went "srishti se pehlay satya nahin tha, asatya bhee nahin"...so we have improvised that a lot, put a lot more music without killing the essence of the verses..it is one work which all are very proud of.

And I promise you an E Mail as soon as I have the files ready...and I quite liked your E Mail ID
