a few words on the world

May 08, 2007 03:37

been getting really mad at people here in pontiac
and finially understand what discriminaton must feel like

i feel sick sometimes
just thinking about parts of our culture

its important that people understand how we have changed as a culture -not with checked facts, and historical events... but with the ideas behind social movements, protests, and overall population morale. how have they affected where we are today? Our world seems completely different than just 20 years ago...when our parents were our age. Especially with big business adopting technologies even we thought we wouldnt live to see. is anyone recording this? how has this race, this country, or this family been affected? will we ever know, is it possible?

The ultimate goal is to provide a way for generations to look back and actually understand what was happening at any given time; how people were feeling, what were people afraid to think, and how do those relate to what happened in the future. Whats happening now? What are we afraid to say? and how will this ultimatley affect our future(s).

for anyone born in the 80s
already we've witnessed a technological revolution,
anything is possible now, communication on earth will never be the same

we have also witnessed a shift in media:
a square black and white set used to air scheduled programming
soon enough all TV as we know it will be digital, wide-screen
and we will tell IT what to broadcast. we already do.

and if google doesnt stop working on artificial intelligence, unlimited storage on the web, and its unique search algorithms; with the use of the worlds information and web traffic it may be possible for our kids one day to know more about ourselves than we ever did.

maybe this seems a little far fetched but i see it
