A momentry lapse of reason...

I've been thinking about how meaningful
One single moment can be

The seemingly insignificant choices we make
Every day of our lives
The chances we take
Or let pass us by
The decisions we make
To be greater than
Or less than
All of them happen in one single moment

A moment can define you
And just as quickly, you can lose yourself in it
Wondering where it went
Wasting scores more trying to recapture it
Long after it has passed
Or worse yet
Lamenting it till the day you die
Till your moments have run dry

The current average human life expectancy is 64.77 years
That's well over 2 billion moments
Each one so very valuable

A glance
A breath
A kind word
A shared silence
A doubt
A certainty
A fear
A triumph
A tear
A smile

Flashes in our minds
In our memories

People
Places
Sights
Sounds
Touches
Tastes
Feelings

I challenge you
Make your moments count
Make them matter
Every last one

For in the end
The sum total of all our moments is all we really have

Thank you for sharing a few of them  with me
