The world's biggest loser, in more ways than one.

This may lose some of its meaning for those who don't play Phantasy Star Universe, but here goes:

Recently, Sega had an in-game event that lasted most of a month. Part of the event was a leaderboard with killcounts, for the number of creatures killed in the mission. The top 500 people will receive a special weapon for their efforts. Very quickly, the killcount boards went into ridiculously high numbers.  At the top of the board for pretty much the whole event, and leading by a large margin, was a player whose character name was Tidus_4:15. Rumors abounded that this was not one person, but several taking turns on the same account. Tidus logged into a couple of message boards and denied it, as well as brag about his position and smack talk the people below him. Regardless, this person or team put over 70 a week hours into the game, probably far more, during the event. No life = loser. Being a dick about being first = loser.

There was also a Time Attack leader ranking, with another special prize. Tidus' team was #1 there as well. But wait... there's a glitch in the game involving certain weapons. After the event, Sega looked through the account info, realized that certain players were using the glitch to get an unfair advantage in the time attack, and removed these people from the boards. Guess who is no longer #1? Tidus_4:15. Loser of the year.
