Should I end up going to Tokyo on a more permanent-like basis, there are some things I'm going to miss about the spot I'm living now. Like this morning, when I opened the drapes covering the window on the back of the house and saw a fox not quite running across the snow, perhaps 15- 20 feet away. I say not quite running because he (she?) was limping and not using its back left leg. It was still going along fairly well, though, and it is kind of cool to see them up close like that. I'm surprised they do come that close to the house- surely my dog's scent is all over the place around here. I see their tracks in the snow quite often.
