Halloween Picspam

This year's Halloween costume theme was video games and there were some sweet costumes. Meanwhile, I was flat broke and had to settle for Little Mac from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out 'cause I didn't have to spend money to do it. So the guy punching people (by request!) would be me and I'm still waiting for some to be uploaded, which I'll add later.

Outside...

Inside...

Special Halloween beers...

And now the costumes. Kelly is ridiculous. Halloween is her favorite day of the year. She starts planning next year's party as soon as the current year's is over. She spends upwards of $300 on materials and makes costumes like this Zelda and Link (from Twilight Princess) for her and Jon by herself!

Brandon & Alyssa made these Nintendo Wii Mii-style masks of themselves and they turned out amazing!

(Jon's in the midst of giving the basement a major overhaul)

Kelly's brother, Bryan, as Big Daddy from BioShock: another amazing homemade costume.

My roommate, Kevin's girlfriend, Jen, as Sora from Kingdom Hearts. That key sword may look light, but it's pure steel and is quite heavy -- she's a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and someone ordered it for her as a present a while back. Awesome.

Katamari Damacy! This was a fantastic costume and yet another that made me feel like a slouch.

Chad as the classic video game character, Leisure Suit Larry. Another favorite and it fits Chad's character to a tee.

Earthworm Jim! This one just about made my night.

Hitman & Carmen Sandiego: Match made in heaven. I especially appreciate the barcode.

Ryu from Street Fighter and Faith Connors from Mirror's Edge. Haha Jim looked all over the place for a yellow ball that lights up so it would better resemble a fireball. He found it and it was awesome. The sais in Corinne's hand: real. They're both actual martial artists and very cool people.

Dr. Mario & Nurse Peach

Kevin as King Hippo from Punch-Out

Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes, which I hadn't heard of.

Paperboy! Utterly classic.

Pitfall. Our friend, Mike (this guy's roommate) was there as Dirk The Daring from the old game, Dragon's Lair, and he was wearing actual chain mail armor and it was awesome, but it looks like nobody got a pic. Too bad.

This woman Jon works with dressed as a hooker from Grand Theft Auto haha. I think the tire mark is a nice touch.

Chad and Stephanie as Wii Fit

TETRIS!

Emily & Ted as the heroes from Zombies Ate My Neighbors. It's a little obscure, but it's a classic SNES game and they nailed it.

Ugh. Me as Little Mac from Mike Tyson's Punch-out.

And of course we had to have a Little Mac vs. King Hippo match.

And Little Mac vs. Leisure Suit Larry? o.O

It looks better when it's not being redone, but their basement is awesome. Love the decor -- check out the posters on the walls in the foosball room.

Aww, siblings. A lovely family portrait.

Fun with Big Daddy (hehe that doesn't sound wrong or anything, does it?) For real, this cracks me up.

Awe, Kelly looks so pretty with her Princess Zelda costume and Big Daddy's murder drill. : )

And that's it. I wasn't in the spirit at all until the day before the party and I'm glad I came around.
