Damon Albarn to direct 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony?
It's only a possibility at the moment, but Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz fame is one of the candidates being considered along with film director Stephen Daldry. I had no idea that Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz artist) created this TV spot for BBC's coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics until just now.
