Indeed it is. Well, kind of. A much less rocking and more new wave incarnation. (I say "kind of" because, really, Ian Astbury and the word, "cult", are the only connections).

ZZ has been one of my favorite groups ever since I first heard Crucifixx-A-Flatt many moons ago. A lot of people around my age seem to think they're a joke, but I think they're pretty badass myself.

Awesome. I think it's because their most well known songs are the cheesier ones from the '80s. "Legs" and all those with the comical videos. I myself was surprised when I learned they were a kickass bluesy rock band long before that.
