I'm in my happy place again. My good friend, Mike, decided he no longer wants his CD's because he has all of it on his hard drive, so he's giving his whole collection, which he's taken good care of, to me. I spent several hours on the computer today, adding them all to my hard drive and occasionally squealing with delight 'cause there is some great ( Read more... )

the collection, friends

Major score!

I had a cat named Pantera. She was gray and white, not even black like one might think. And I couldn't name you a single Pantera song now. (I didn't name the kitty, heh)

HA! I like the cat story. Pantera's a good name for a cat. Much better than Frisky, which I named our kitty back when I was like ten years old. My mom wanted me to name it and I didn't have anything, so I chose Frisky because we had Friskies cat food for her. Brilliant. *rolls eyes*

Pants was very meek and sweet, too. Not really a "rockin'" kitty. Frisky is a cute name, and all is forgiven since you were ten :P My mom's cat is named Kitty, that's the worst! She didn't name her, though, either.

No, I take it back, my coworker's mom is the worst: her cat is named Cat and her dog is named Dog. *eyeroll*

*facepalm* What's wrong with your coworker?

Haha sitting her talking about cats and our two cats just came into my room. Scrabble is now sitting on my lap, purring and Jenga is underneath the chair, batting at Scrabble's tail as it sings back and forth. Scrabble and Jenga. Kevin's ex wife, Christina, named them. I think those are good names. The work well.

I know, right??

Those are great names! They must have sensed that lesser beings were being discussed and had to come in and remind you who the best kitties (and best-named kitties) are. Hee.

You know, you were in my dream last night. Sort of. You lived a few doors down from me and I offered to cat-sit any time you went away. I guess because I commented on your journal about MY cat before going to sleep? I remember thinking in the dream "huh, all this time I thought he lived far away but he's right there!"

Hehe that's gotta be it. They know what's up.

HA! I love the weirdness of dreams. Well, thank you for being kind enough to offer your cat-sitting services even if it was only in your mind. That would be cool. We'd definitely hang out and I'd have to make you my baseball watching buddy. : )

Funny how that's what came to mind, not "oh we can watch baseball and movies" or whatever. I'm not even catsitting for anyone at the moment. But I do think of you whenever I see that the Tigers have done something cool, like another no-hitter!

Yes! Not only that, but Verlander didn't give up a hit until the fifth or sixth inning his next start, so he had like 14 straight innings without giving up a hit. Haha and they've one seven straight, which is awesome, except they're so streaky that it's hard to get too excited. ANYWAY...yeah, I know what you mean. Whenever I hear something interesting about the Diamondbacks, the first thing that crosses my mind is bringing it up to you. : )
