I went Shopping today. And yes, it totally deserves a capital letter, because I drove to Tampere to do that (it takes a bit under two hours). Because a brand-new "Shopping City" with 170 shops has been opened there (a bit away from town). And I can't resist a temptation like that.
We (my brother, his girlfriend and I) left at 10.30 am, arrived to Tampere at 12.30, went to eat in their university (for cheap food, and besides it was practically on our way) and then went to this
Ideapark as it's called. Obviously from there on I went on my own and they together.
It was splendid! A lot of great shops, and with Christmas sales still being here, reasonably priced (if you stayed away from the most fancy shops). The air of happy commercialism was breath-taking.
Shopping alone is LOVELY, because you don't have to waste your energy waiting for your friend to try something on or spend time in shops that don't interest you, or worry about driving some crazy with your own stalling. And
you can go to same shops over and over again if you can't decide if you want to buy something. *cough* I was there about 3,5 hours, and bought two shirts, a bra and a book (and coffee with doughnut). I was horribly tempted to buy one green bag, but as it would have been the third in a week I resisted the temptation. But regret it a bit now.
After that brother J and the Girlfriend (or fiancee, really) went to J's apartment (who lives in Tampere) and I continued my way home, arriving at 7.20 pm. I'm very proud of myself for driving to Tampere and back in one day (half of the trip alone, even) without any accidents - this means that mum can stop worrying and just let me take the car if I need to go somewhere!
Although, I must admit that now I'm quite exhausted.
So, adding today's purchases to what else I've bought during these Christmas sales, I've spent a bit over 100 euros. Please say it's not too much... But in a way it's good, because my Secret New Year's Resolution is that I should spend as much as I earn, and in my case, it means spending more than I have thus far... Because really, what's the point of saving money now when I'm a STUDENT with no work? Surely I'll have enough time for saving when I've a job... (Well, okay, even so it's good that I didn't buy that one bag of love...)
ps. Atobe is seducing me with his maids and butlers.
