Book by my teacher

Gah. I want to tell you about this lovely new book I read, but I'm also feeling slightly down now (no big deal - there's a silly reason for that which will hopefully be solved on Monday. But until then, I'll worry about it), so I don't know how much I can do it justice, but let's try...

Okay, so everything starts with the author, who is my ex-teacher about whom I talk here. He is a very funny teacher, who tells crazy metaphors and loves Buffy and hates reading our essays.

Anyway. He just now published a book called Lumikko ja yhdeksän muuta (which means Lumikko and nine others), and it was brilliant. The kind of book that messes up with your head and makes you think weird thoughts for awhile, and which has very insightful notions about life and humans. He wants it to be viewed as normal novel, but it has some fantasy/scifi elements in it. The characters are great, I think - very real and alive, it feels.

Anyway. You Finns out there - you should definitely read it. And non-Finns - feel bad it hasn't been translated ;)

Because Interner-stalkerism is one of my characteristics, I of course also googled him and found his blog. I already know I'll become a regular reader of it, because he's just as funny there as he's in real life.

His most recent entry: "It's 5 am. I've slept two hours, Morfeus is sulking at me... I'm leaving to Finncon. There I'll eat someone's brain, that should help..."

books, emo, pimping
