1. Why does Hikago fandom always make such a big deal of Shindou's hair? I've already seen three boys who have a hair like that, in a month in Korea. Or is that kind of hair style popular because of Hikaru, and no one had a hair like that before? Yes those were young boys and Hikaru is old, but not so old when the story starts.
2. You know, I think it's funny how some cliches are so tightly tied to a fandom, with no reason, even when so many are in multiple fandoms. Like... oh, I don't know. Like how anime boys just DO have to share an umbrella and be all fluffy about it, but we never see it in Harry Potter, you know? Or why don't we have band!AU in Harry Potter? The trio could be, well, a trio, with Harry as the lead singer every girl has a crush on, and Hermione would be a guitarist and Ron a drummer. And Ginny and Luna could have a duo like T.A.T.U., with or without femmeslash. And hey that doesn't even need to be an AU! Ginny Weasley's Wild Adventures Before Marrying The Boy Who Lived! What other cliches should be imported to new fandoms? blind_go fics make me happy, I was never a big fan of AUs/crossovers, but it's actually quite refreshing.
3. Happy Chusok to everyone! I think it's brilliant that I actually have trouble remembering that it's not a holiday everywhere in the world now. I'm going to my suitemate's home tomorrow and I hope we won't have too many communication problems, with her very poor English and with my even poorer Korean. Even though my roommate praised my pronunciation after I said "전는 Sivu입니더". Everyone is gone now, because of Chusok, the dorms are all empty. I was supposed to, too, but then my suitemate was working and, yeah. I've just spent this day online, and pretty much the day before that too (oh right, no I didn't, I also learned how to make traditional rice cakes!) which means my life was pretty much as it's at home. Relaxing~~!
