was struggling with this awhile back.. and i think the devos this morning articulated what i needed to hear and apply.
maintaining doctrinal purity- Love never compromises God's Word; 1 Cor 13:6
"often Christians are willing to compromise sound doctrine for the sake of loving others. They believe that doctrinal precision is somehow divisive and unloving. But see 2 John 6-8: love is that we walk in obedience to His commands. Biblical love always operates within the parameters of God's Word and spiritual discernment, see Phil 1:9-11. The most loving thing you can do is live according to Biblical truth."
Thank You Lord for answering my prayers and pointing me back to the Truth (: I WILL take the risk again, the risk of being labelled "unloving" and "divisive". Help me to not shut out Your voice again because of peer pressure, help me to stand strong for You, especially toward the deceivers and false teachers!
