Weekend Ahoy!
It's so close!
I was going to have pictures of my finished (!) Midrealm favor to show y'all, but I left my camera at the house. So you'll have to wait.
My garage door opener flew off my driver's side flip-down mirror this morning and hit me in the face. It hurt. Luckily, no bruise.
I figured out a way to put my hair up in a very cute fashion, with backside pinwheel braids. Pictures forthcoming eventually.
Tomorrow is Winter Revel, aka The Drinky Revel, where I'll have my premier encounter of legal alcohol at an SCA event. I promise I won't get too tipsy. ;)
I have some handwork to bring with me, along with some tasty fennel cracker-thingy I am making tonight. I need to stop at the store and buy some cord to make a lucet for my green french gown. Speaking of which, I figured out I'm going to box-pleat the dang thing so I can finish it and work as fast and as concisely as I can on making the doublet. In time for Val day. No venetian this time around... I'm thinking that once I get my corset done I'll make a new venetian, with some kick-ass lace and a cool allegorical coat. Sound like a plan? Does to me. :) Adios for the weekend.
