Night of the living caffeinated.
Had copious amounts of coffee with khasael today, which is probably the only reason I'm still up because I think I only slept for 4 hours last night. Also, we had a great time laughing and laughing and laughing until other patrons at the coffee-related establishment stared at us with awe and a little distaste. But it was still hilarious good times.
I drove Jake to the vet early this morning, and now he's happily stoned on puppy pain meds and muscle relaxants. Still, we need to invest in a pet ramp or two so he stops torquing his back 'guarding' his toys from Elwood. I can't do a whole lot about them rough-housing in the yard, but I can at least try to make the downstairs recliners more dog-friendly when next I get a paycheck.
I have to go up to my mother-in-law's tomorrow and I'm dreading it. I should really go to bed now, because I have to get up and finish the grocery shopping before A gets up, and then make his lunch and drive up to Longmont with time enough for us to get something accomplished before he has to go to work. Then A will take my truck to work and his mom will drive me to a bus station, and I can take the bus to the train to home.
We're still dreadfully undecided whether or not we're moving up to her house when she finally leaves. I can't really tell if it would save us any money because we'd have to factor in higher gas mileage and a newer car for A, at the very least, not to mention that we found out this week that his mom's house hasn't had any updates since 1989. It's rather like being given a derelict mansion. (Umm, thanks? No mortgage payments, but the cost of repairs will eat you alive. )
I needed to do a few things around the house today, but I didn't get them done. Crap. Guess it will have to wait for tomorrow. Oh, and I was supposed to upload some pictures to Shutterfly for my mom, but the wireless in my house was being sketchy and I didn't feel like fighting it, so that will have to wait, too. (I tried giving my mom a tutorial on Shutterfly over the phone, but it was like explaining a sphere to a circle. She's a good mom and all, but try explaining how to highlight multiple flies by clicking and dragging without using the phrase "click and drag" because she doesn't understand what that means. Oy. It makes my brain hurt remembering it.)
All right, LiveJournal, old Building and Loan pal, I think I'll go out and find the bed and do a little passionate sleeping.
