1. What time is it?
8:31pm Mountain Time.
2. What's your full name?
Sarah Ellen [edited for content].
3. What are you most afraid of?
Poisonous spiders. And A's claims that he's going to die young and leave me alone.
4. What was the last movie that you saw in a theater?
I honestly don't remember. It was some time this past summer.
5. Place of birth?
Riverview Hopsital
6. Favorite food?
I'm really fond of watermelon.
7. What's your natural hair color?
Well, I used to be a natural red head, but now it's actually closer in color to my eyebrows.
8. Ever been to Alaska?
No. I do hope to rectify that.
9. Ever been toilet paper rolling?
I'm not sure what this “rolling” is. Over a decade ago,I did participate in the occasional TP-ing of someone's house. Is that the same?
10. Love someone so much it made you cry?
Well, yes, I have. In both a good and a bad way.
11. Been in a car accident?
Yes, fortunately my severest accident was while learning to drive stick shift. I took a corner on a dirt road too fast and flipped the truck over into a ditch. My dad got a small bruise on his forehead, but no one was really hurt. We had the truck flipped back over and then we drove it home. Later, dad pounded down the sharp bits of metal and we continued to drive that truck until it finally died.
12. Croutons or bacon bits?
Croutons! I love croutons.
13. Favorite day of the week?
I think I like Saturdays the best, by Saturday I've been out of class for a day and still have one day off left.
14. Favorite restaurant?
Lately it's been Gennaro's Pizza and Bar. THE BEST white-sauce pizza, and home made zeppoles.
15. Favorite Flower?
I like dwarf daffodils, and scarlet poppies. But really, I quarrel with no flower.
16. Favorite sport to watch?
Baseball, but this is temporary. Go Rockies!
17. Favorite drink?
Usually water. Though I like Left Hand Brewery's Milk Stout.
18. Favorite ice cream?
Anything involving peanut butter cups.
19. Disney or Warner Brothers?
Warner Brothers.
20. Ever been on a ship?
Yes, at port.
21. What color is your bedroom carpet?
A very neglected off white.
22. How many times did you fail your driver's test?
Once.
23. Before this one, from whom did you get your last e-mail?
This wasn't actually an email. The last email I got was Alternet's best headlines of the week.
24. What do you do when you are bored?
Surveys, apparently. I also like to obsessively sort small things, rearrange books, or file. One might think that this makes me a neat freak, but one would be very wrong.
25. Bedtime?
Entirely variable. Right now it's midterms, so it's been progressively later.
26. Who will respond to this e-mail the quickest?
I don't really know. Possibly
tye_mount, or maybe
asarotte, though I suspect that I answered this because
jrbl suspected I would. So I would say that their respective chances of answering this just rose by 30%.
27. Who is the person you sent this to that is least likely to respond?
I didn't send it to anyone, but
empressjolie rarely makes an appearance on Livejournal anymore.
28. Who is the person that you are most curious to see their responses?
Really, anyone who answers will be read with interest.
29. Favorite TV show?
I'm really liking Dexter right now. Of course, I just finished season one and haven't had a chance to watch the recorded episodes of season two. PLEASE, DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING! I'm also counting down to January so that BSG will be back. I've also considered watching the new Bionic Woman because Katee Sackhoff is on it.
30. Last person you went to dinner with?
My husband, his parents, and his grandmother.
31. Who do you think will be President?
Someone who is too worried about retaining power, rather than using it for something good. No candidate has established themselves as being worthy of my favoritism, though it seems that through some bizarre joke I have been registered as a Republican at the Englewood, Colorado voters' registration office. Not that I hate republicans, I don't - I married one. I'm just NOT a republican.
32. What are your favorite colors?
I quarrel with no color. To pick a favorite would be impossible.
33. How many tattoos do you have?
None. I suspect that tatoos will be the defining feature of this generation, whatever generation that may be. You know how some elderly ladies of a particular time period have drawn-in/stencilled-on eyebrows? You look at them and think, "Gee, that's just odd looking. Why would anyone pluck out all their eyebrows?" Tatoos (and piercings) are going to be just like that.
34. How many pets do you have?
Just the one, a parrot, but we nearly had two. Let me explain: A has wanted a dog, so we went to the Humane Society (Englewood's HS is a no-kill facility) and found Yogi, a little red dachshund that A just melted for. Little Yogi was so skinny I called him “Yogurt” because he looked like he'd been on a crash diet, poor puppy. We wanted to go back for him this weekend, but he was already adopted. This is fine actually. We don't really have time yet for a dog, and it being midterms I thought it best we not introduce any new time-consuming adjustments. Anyhow, we'd thought about getting Yogi, but we decided that if he was still there in a week it was “meant to be,” but if he was gone that means that he's adopted, which is nearly as good because then SOMEONE is taking care of him and that's good for Yogi. He wasn't there, and A was a little heart broken, but I promised we'd go looking at dogs again at the end of the semester.
35. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
I like the theory of time that suggests every moment exists at once. Then the egg and the chicken exist simultaneously, perhaps even willing each other into existence.
36. What do you want to do before you die?
Get a book published.
37. Have you ever been to Hawaii?
No, I have not.
38. Have you been to countries outside the U.S.?
Yes. The main island of Britain, including stops in Wales and Scotland. Also, I've been just across the border into Mexico, and traveled unofficially into Canada once while paddling in the BWCA.
39. How many people are you sending this e-mail to?
None, and yet the potential people who may eventually see this are countless.
40. Time this survey ended?
9:34pm Mountain Time.
