A couple of good causes
This coming Friday marks the end of the voting period for WEEI's Best Blogger contest. One of the ten finalists is my good friend Cyn Donnelly, of Toeing the Rubber and Red Sox Chick fame. Now, regardless of the competition, I'd probably ask you to vote for Cyn, because she's a smart baseball fan and a great friend (not to mention excellent traveling companion and co-conspirator), and WEEI is in dire need of some balance for the material they usually broadcast and publish. (Yes, I still love you, Rob Bradford, but you know what I mean.) But I can also ask you to vote for her because her blog entries for the contest blow everyone else's out of the water. Stand up for exciting, thoughtful, passionate baseball writing! Vote Donnelly!
Meanwhile, next weekend is the GBSCC Sports Card and Memorabilia Show at the Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington. As usual Sure Shot has a nice lineup of Sox players, but I know I have some Craig Breslow fans in the ranks here, and I want to point out that Craig will be signing both days as a benefit for his Strike 3 Foundation.
