I would say see Avatar

I watched Avatar with D recently and we were both amazed by the special effects and action. But we also had left the movie with desire to live on the planet of Pandora. I think what impressed us the most was the way connections between all living thing were portrayed.  Plants, animals and native people were able to link to one another.  For the both of us it seemed as though the writer(s) had given great though to life and how we all are interconnected.

The story had also spoke to the history of humanity and its capacity to forget the past events that caused generations of sorrow for groups of people. I made a comment to D about irony of one scene where Colonel Miles Quaritch is speaking to his team of marines about forcing the savages out of their piece of land. As the colonel speaks they pan to the marines and you see that many marines are from groups of peoples that in the earth’s past had been called savages and forced from their lands.

The movie for us was great in so many ways for it invoked many feelings and prompted thought.
