Who we think they are...
I have been busy with work, Warhammer Online, game preparation and visiting family this summer. I have not much to complain about. I even find I get irritated with individuals who whine or complain when it is something small and trivial. But I did discover something that makes me quite angry this weekend.
While visiting up north, a “friend” of the family was making statements about immigrants and how to solve the problem of those who try to cross the border with out legal means. Then he continued to spout about how someone who is not a citizen can get a free ride while here in the states. I then saw my honey sister politely excuse herself and leave.
I knew why she left. He continued to talk then I blew my top. I told him to pull his head out of his ass. I stated that he just insulted V and D. I walked away knowing I didn’t behave correctly. I was so angry. I could have calmly talked. I just was upset that a person I knew made rude comments about my loved ones.
Then shortly after calmly talking with my mom I heard my dad shouting. Here my dad and his friend continued the conversation pulling D in and in a sense interrogating him about immigrating and about if he was legal. D got up and hollered back that the conversation was over. We left soon after that.
