has anyone seen that show ruby on the style network? here's why i think it works on so many levels:
1) it appeals to a broad audience. some people watch because its endearing. imagine the countless obese people with more than standard cable packages. they are the sappy genuinely-fat women who watch the show as a symbol of hope. elizabeth arden commercials put you at ease. its on style, right?
2) obesity is more prevalent in america than many other countries. due to ruby's size and exposure within the fashion community the general public (at large) will demand more layne bryant. stores will fruitlessly spring up across america as we sink deeper beneath the recession. this radical thinking inspires an economic conspiracy theory concerning the obese community.
