saddest uuuugh this week just keeps getting shittier and shittier heavenonhigh May 11 2012, 16:31:38 UTC
Cas's eyes narrow. The initial shock has worn off, and with the tiny spark of grace he has left, he can tell this is a ghost of Christmas past situation. Or future, depending on which Castiel you happen to be talking to.

He just barely manages to hold in a snort at being addressed as Jimmy. There's a grin though, a small chuckle and a duck of his head.

"Jimmy's... Gone. Checked out. Room's mine now, though, he left the key."

He likes to think that Jimmy's in Heaven, but honestly? He has no clue where he's gone, and in fact tries to think about it as infrequently as he can manage; he'd been fond of him, of course, and the loss of his presence had just added to the choking sense of loneliness that'd settled over him after that last time he'd heard the voices of his brothers and sisters.

And he shouldn't be surprised, really, that his former self can't see him for what he is, but it figures, he thinks bitterly- he's not much of an angel anymore, is he? He doesn't stand, but his posture does shift from the relaxed slouch he'd been resting in to hit his piece to something a bit more defensive, more wary. He knows himself, the kinds of things he'd done and had been willing to do if given the right justification, the right cause... Getting in his own way isn't something he really wants to do, but at the same time, he doesn't know what this Castiel is after.

"He's out there doing his fearless leader thing, won't be back for a few days." He frowns, eyes his former self's face and continues, "I don't know where exactly he is."

He hasn't seen 2009's Dean yet, isn't even aware he's arrived in this year. Sorry Castiel, he can't help you with that. If you wanna relax a little bit, though... He can do that. If his past self smokes too, would that make him doubly high?
