Flumpool 5th Anniversary Live Tour - The Moment

Aug 01, 2014 12:41

I have to blog about this before I forget about what amazing time I had last night @ Flumpool's 1st solo concert in Singapore (I don't think it's possible to forget, but still!!!).

When I first started listening to Flumpool 2-3 years ago, I didn't think I'd have a chance to ever see them perform live. Unlike kpop (which is crazily popular in Singapore as we all know), jpop/jrock isn't that well-known here I guess. WILL I EVER SEE MY JE BOYBAND PERFORM LIVE HERE????  I had no idea that Flumpool was going to perform here until I saw the news on FB (all hail social media!).

None of my friends listen to Flumpool, so I actually decided to go alone. The tickets were cheap, and i say cheap because kpop tickets cost 2x more than that. I went for SMTOWN on 2012, and the cheapest ticket was $167. The VIP ticket for the flumpool ticket was only $150!!!

Even though mine was the general admission ticket, I had such a good view. I was in the centre and I could see the whole band so clearly. Especially Ryuta. Oh god, he's even cuter in real life. His smile is just..kgfjdh how do I even describe it???

Was directly behind the seated fans. And I made friends with a Malaysian fan (she was really super nice). The fans were all really patient and civilised (like no pushing around and all that stuff).

When Flumpool played their first song, I really wasn't prepared for how loud it was going to me. I COULD FEEL IT ALL THE WAY TO MY BONES AND MY HEART WAS THUDDING SO QUICKLY. The lighting for the concert was so gorgeous. The crowd went crazy when Flumpool started playing 'Hana Ni Nare' somewhere in the middle. It's the song that got me hooked to the band tbh. And it was so cute how the members communicated with us using English & Chinese.

I really can't describe how amazing Ryuta and everyone is. I actually really like Genki, but I think Ryuta completely stole my heart and attention last night. IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TEAR YOUR EYES AWAY FROM HIM.

2 hours passed by so quickly, and it felt ridiculously short. Ryuta's closing speech was really touching. Something along the lines of how our language and cultures are different, but our hearts are one at that moment. I teared up a little bit at the ending. I still can't believe that I watched my favorite japanese pop rock band perform live. It feels somewhat strange - like I was present and not present at that point of time. Thank you Flumpool for the amazing concert experience (and Amuse Inc for bringing them here).

Up next, EXO's concert on 23rd August. YES,I GOT MYSELF A TICKET. I didn't manage to get standing pen tickets...and only the restricted view tickets were left so I went ahead and bought it.

20 days left till exo's concert!

Okay, now that I'm done fangirling, I should seriously get started on my assignment. Sigh.
