My exboyfriend (sorta) and still my good friend Ryan made it in the news and stuff:

Ryan, his dad and his two brothers broke world records by driving from South America to Alaska in 29 days. They raised $20,000 for Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. Unfortunately because the World Record association no longer recognizes road trips, they won't get any acknowledgment but they aren't too worried about it. They had lots of fun and some scary as hell moments.
I chatted with Ryan this morning. He fell off his bike at 120km/hr (think 70mph) and a truck ran over his ipod. He said he wasn't hurt but he couldn't pick up silverware for about 2 weeks LMFAO
His brother hit a caribou in Alaska (at 97km/hr) and managed to some how not fall off or get hurt. Not so lucky for the caribou. I won't show you the pictures he showed me *cringe* But yeah, they had to tie strap and use foam to get the bike to be drivable again. Lucky for them, Sean (eldest brother) is a mechanic. At least he was working on cars when I lived there :) I told them they should have bought lottery tickets that day. I mean heck, they were on a gravel road and he still didn't manage to fall off.
When they had to drive through Red Deer on their way to Alaska, they were joined by 100 other bikers in support of the trip. Totally cool!
