SB861 was signed into law in California in October of 2005. There is no vote waiting to happen for it.
The law allows them to pass spay/neuter laws for certain breeds IF a municipality wants to. It does NOT require the euthanization of all pit bulls.

I just thought I would help - I had 2 pits until recently and they were wonderful dogs.
