Sounds like one cool mom :) I remember my mom trying to get me to sit down with her and dad and watch Tom Hanks act in a show called Mazes and Monsters :)

Even though I never played D&D it changed my life too as it fired my imagination and made me love RPG's and Fantasy books like the Harper Series, etc :)

Actually...I knew "OF" D&D growing up...sorta. I knew a couple kids in high school that played...never did. My grandparents had this book in their office about how D&D was the spawn writing of the devil....and I just laughed about what the book had to say (I read it secretly at night when everyone else was in bed).

My first D&D type game was actually Vampire the Masquerade, on a Thursday evening, where I met my friend Cindy at her house with her roomies and friends who were playing it. Which is also where my husband lived at the time...... My characters tended not to do too much, because honestly I fell asleep part of the way through the game because Dylan inevitably ended up playing with/combing my hair, which puts me right out.
