Well, sorry about the long hiatus. I know some people (cough Caryn cough) missed my little posts of weirdness.
I went to more concerts than I normally do. ISO had a concert on Saturday, and it was FANTASTIC. And I really mean it. The winner of the ISO young violinist played Tchaikovsy's Violin Concerto in D on a STRADIVARIUS, and the performance was just stellar. It reminded me a lot of the Heifitz recording, frankly.
And last night I went to a concert of the Berlin wind quintet, and they are some of the finest players in the world on their instruments. It was really amazing.
I am addicted to The Cat Empire. They're an Australian band, and their songs are so peppy, I can't get over it.
I have decided to just get over my qualms, sit down at the computer and speedpaint. I had a little aneurism/epiphany a few days ago that turned into a story that was evolved from my most promising story a while ago.
Read: fantasy.
centaurs (that's the new bit XD)
dragons
'angels' (not really, that's just the temp term. Think messenger soldiers with biomechanical wings grafted on. lol weird, innit?)
And another thing that is new and interesting in my life is Theatre Club. I'm secretary, and this club is FUN. Auditions are on Monday for a short 1-act play called "Attack of the Moral Fuzzies" that we'll take to the Thespian competition. And I'm qualified to join the Thespian Society! >3< That made me really happy.
Corss Country is ALMOST DONE. Sectionals is this Tuesday, at a course that I love, and then we might go on to Regionals. And I think that's as far as we'll go, really. I can't believe how far I've progressed, though- I can run 5 miles now, and run 3 miles in 30 minutes (my best time. That was HARD.) But, whoo-eee, my legs are dead.
Expository writing is eating my brain slowly, not because of the actual work (which is okay) but just the class. XP
humdeedum... not much else to say. bleck.
(CARYN I'm going to watch Titanic sometime this weekend. You inspired me.)
