Posting becuase King Lear makes my brain explaoud.
Also because I haven't since I left for Memphis, which leaves you folks in the dark.
So, um, however long ago it was that I left I went to Memphis TN to visit my grandpa. Who is a sweet man in most regards, but he is near deaf and DISGUSTING. You have to have seen it to get it. Is that grammatically correct? I don't really know... My brain isn't working anymore...
So then from there I went to Murphysboro to stay with my great-uncle Ken and my great-aunt Kaye. It was fun. We went to Saint Louis to see my second cousin and his wife (the greatest and, admittedly, cutest couple on earth) on the night HP7 was coming out, so we went to a night street party. One word-> Fangirl scream.
gosh darnit, that was two words! I hate my brain.....
So the next day when we arrived back in southern Illinois, HP7 was waiting on the front porch, courtesy of Amazon.com. I read it in 6.5 hours. I think it was about midnight when I finished, and I was sobbing. Really. It was hilarious in retrospect. I stayed up until 3 in the morning crying sporadically. :D
um.... what did I do after that.... I've been writing my King Lear essay since I arrived back, and honestly, I don't care any more. I'm trying to finish both essays before I go on vacation on Sunday, and I'm becoming a bit worried that I might not finish. I keep getting distracted by DeviantART.com and Facebook. But luckily all those hours on DevART helped me discover that you can color underneath lineart without spending 80 bajillion hours erasing the bits away from the lines to make it see-through, using the wonders of setting the layer to Multiply, and my art has improved. Aerin no longer looks like some anthro that the cat dragged in, and actually like a real humanoid. And she has fingers! No more fudging it with paws! :D
Woah... my hands are twitching... 8D eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh
And lastly, never ever ever underestimate the power of the CD "Every Breath You Take" by The Police to keep you focused on our essay. Never. It's amazing. This time last year I didn't even like The Police.
That's it. I really need to work on King Lear. I think there's something going on between Lear and the Fool, and how there was probably something going on between Lear and Kent, and some weird obscure fanfic-like stuff too, but I can't write about that, obviously. Thank goodness for Macbeth.
I wish my hands would stop shaking. It makes me write typos. *beats head on desk*
